Triple-bill of documentaries which make use of archive footage from WWII to explore what life was like during the war. 'Home Front Britain', presented by actor Jim Carter, showcases a rare collection of Ministry of Information films which cast light on the preoccupations of those on the home front during the war. 'The Concise History of WWII' examines the causes of the war, the key battles that shaped it and assesses the contribution of various political and military leaders to their cause. Finally, 'Victory in Europe' collates a range of material, including newsreel footage and popular music of the time, to bring to life the victory celebrations at the conclusion of the war.
