The Cheyenne pool [text(large print)]

Patten, Lewis B.2019
Large Print
The Cheyenne Pool was a combine of cattlemen, founded when Southeastern Colorado was virtually a wilderness with miles if unfenced open range. Times changed, however, and the grass-hungry small farmers began to look enviously on the vast lands that the Pool held without any legal claim. Lacking the organisation necessary to confront the well-established Pool, the newcomers grew frustrated and some of the greedier men started raiding the Pool's stock.
