Summary

Samuel Holmes has just been promoted to lieutenant of detectives when he and his partner Dr. Watson are assigned a high-profile case - the suspected murder of the deputy mayor's son, whose body has been discovered in the library of an exclusive Victorian-era club. But books are also missing, and it's not long before more historical volumes mysteriously disappear from the city's other libraries.
