Summary

In his capacity as a consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr Watson invariably find themselves travelling a good deal by train, and it is this which links the seemingly disparate events in one of the most fraught episodes in Holmes's career. A 'wheelchair mob' plans a series of daring gem heists, and ghosts are allegedly committing theft! Amid murder, poisoning and seances, someone is also threatening the faithful landlady, Mrs Hudson.
