Rating: , 18 Mar 2011A pocket guide to exploration, this book covers a wide variety of subjects from equipment, survival techniques, psychological insights to a detailed analysis of a number of explorations. The latter is a series of essays of around 5 to 10 pages, the former parts are brief monologues which form a handy guide on a number of subjects.Whilst one would be very unlucky to be attacked by a charging elephant in Hampshire, the sections on unfriendly natives, nutrition, equipment and clothing are all potentially useful. In all, a lovely little book which presents a few hours of very interesting reading. Suitable for just about anyone but probably of most interest to those of an adventurous nature.
