TV miniseries about five children who go on fantastic flying adventures on a magic carpet. When their parents purchase a second-hand carpet, five children discover it conceals a mysterious, glowing egg. The children accidentally knock the egg into their fire and are astonished to discover a magnificent phoenix (David Suchet) arising from the flames. After he cools down, the phoenix tells the children that they now possess a magic carpet, capable of fulfilling their wishes and flying them to any far off land. Accompanied by their new magical items, the children set off on sensational adventures.
