Become a Hampshire Library Member
Anyone living, working or studying in Hampshire can become a member of Hampshire Libraries. You can join online or in person at any Hampshire Library. You do not need any identification to join the library. You can join online if you have not previously done so at a library - if you already have a Hampshire library membership but have forgotten your login details you can Reset your PIN Online.
Once you have joined online you will be given digital membership number and your chosen four-digit PIN. You can use this number straight away to borrow and reserve titles from our catalogue and access to free-to-download eBooks, audiobooks and eMagazines. To issue physical items and see your library card number you can download our Self-Service app Click here for information on the Library Self-Service app.
If you have opted to be issued with a physical library card your library card will be posted to your chosen branch, ready for use. Remember to replace your previous details with your new membership number to continue to access our eBook and audiobook provider as well as other online resources.

Check you are happy with the library Terms of membership, including the way fines and charges are priced, and our Privacy policy before you join.
If you are under 16 you will need to provide the details of a guarantor (Parent or Guardian) to join online. Parents or Guardians can access the child’s account online by asking for a library PIN number to be set up in branch. They can then use their child’s library card and PIN number to access the account to renew/reserve.
