Summary:
Mystery drama directed by Joshua Marston and starring Rachel Weisz and Michael Shannon. Tom (Shannon) considers moving to a new state when his wife Ramina (Azita Ghanizada) gets accepted into a graduate programme. When the couple and some friends attend a dinner party, one of Tom's co-workers brings along a date who seems to be a ghost from Tom's past. Introduced as Alice (Weisz), the woman acts as though she and Tom have never met before but Tom knows better. When she abruptly leaves, Tom is compelled to follow her and find out the truth. The two of them venture into the night as Alice tries to explain what motivates her to constantly reinvent her own identity and Tom tries to understand this while facing the possibility that her reappearance has dredged up old and forgotten feelings. Will Alice finally be able to settle or will Tom be drawn into the promise of escapism? The cast also features Danny Glover, Kathy Bates and Erin Darke.
