John Randle Vaudrey MBE was born on 10th June 1916. He attended Rugby School from 1921, and served with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during World War 2. His years of military duty ended on 6th February 1946, and he was given the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant and traveled the world extensively as a successful businessman over many years, celebrating his 89th Birthday in 2005, whilst living in Fordingbridge in Hampshire.
