Summary:
Evening at the doctor's office, an unexpected meeting. Eight-year-olds Rachel and Andy suddenly find themselves together in the corridor. Rachel, born with a congenital heart defect, is a frequent visitor to these wards. Andy, there for a broken arm, is growing more familiar with the hospital environment without his father. They were hesitant to start anew.
Their lives are worlds apart: she grew up in a quiet, affluent home, while he was raised by a poor single mother. Her heart condition prevents her from participating in sports, yet she is an avid fan. Despite their differences, their friendship and eventual separation will endure through school, love, and careers. If Rachel and Andy manage to discover their true selves and who they want to become, they might just find their paths intertwined once more.
