Summary:
The micro:bit is a tiny computer that introduces you to the basics of programming hardware It has an LED display, buttons, sensors like temperature and light levels and other inputs. You can program it via the website in either block programming, that looks like Scratch, or in Javascript or Python. Instructions, free tutorials and free editors are available at https://microbit.org. The editors, which come with a test area so you can check your code without a Micro:bit present, are available at https://makecode.microbit.org. This is version 1 of the Micro:bit so may not have all the features of the latest models and may not integrate with the Scratch extension. Each kit comes with: 1 x Micro:bit, 1 x quick start, 1 x battery pack, 1 x usb cable micro:bits are free to borrow and loanable for the standard library loan of four weeks.
